When it comes to making smart choices in Fantasy Premier League, Gameweek 25 could be a game-changer! The Scout has spotlighted four players who are poised for outstanding performances this week, just in time for the crucial Friday 18:30 GMT deadline. These insights aim to provide Fantasy managers with a competitive edge over their league opponents.
Jarrod Bowen (West Ham) - £7.6m
With the recent additions of Taty Castellanos (£5.5m) and Pablo Felipe (£5.5m), West Ham United's attack has taken on a new vibrancy. They've managed to net seven goals in the three Premier League matches where both new signings have been in the starting lineup. Although Castellanos and Felipe have yet to score themselves, their presence has significantly boosted the performance of wingers Crysencio Summerville (£5.5m) and Bowen, who have each contributed three attacking returns in the last three Gameweeks.
Bowen has also stepped up his game by becoming the primary penalty-taker following Lucas Paqueta's exit, successfully converting a spot-kick in Gameweek 23. Looking ahead, Bowen will face some of the league's most porous defenses over the next five fixtures, kicking off with an away match against Burnley this weekend.
Teams conceding the most goals in 2025/26:
Team(s) Goals Conceded
West Ham 48
Burnley 47
Wolves 45
Bournemouth 43
Leeds 42
Man Utd 36
Fulham, Nottm Forest 35
Liverpool, Newcastle, Spurs 33
Declan Rice (Arsenal) - £7.5m
Arsenal has confirmed their participation in two matches during Gameweek 26, thanks to their advance to the EFL Cup final, marking it as a "Double Gameweek" for the Gunners. A Double Gameweek means that players have two opportunities to score points from just one round of matches, making Arsenal's top performers even more attractive for Fantasy managers.
Here’s a look at Arsenal's next few matches:
GW Opponent Fixture Difficulty Rating (FDR)
25 Sunderland (H) 2
26 Brentford (A), Wolves (A) 3, 2
27 Spurs (A) 3
28 Chelsea (H) 3
29 Brighton (A) 3
30 Everton (H) 2
Note: 1 signifies the easiest possible fixture, while 5 indicates the hardest.
Including the Double Gameweek, four of Arsenal's next six matches will be on the road, making Rice an appealing option. He stands out as the leading player for Fantasy points accrued away from home this season, boasting 81 points. Notably, seven out of eight matches in which he has earned defensive contribution points, as well as three of his four double-digit scores, have come during away games. While his scoring has slowed recently, his impressive record of creating 12 chances over the past four Gameweeks—second only to Bruno Fernandes (£9.6m)—indicates he is primed to score more points. With concerns surrounding injuries to other Arsenal stars like Bukayo Saka (£9.9m) and Martin Odegaard (£7.8m) ahead of Gameweek 25, Rice emerges as the top midfield choice from the squad.
Marcos Senesi (AFC Bournemouth) - £4.8m
Bournemouth is looking to capitalize on their clean sheet from Gameweek 24 at Molineux as they navigate a favorable set of fixtures over the coming weeks. Here’s what’s on the horizon for them:
GW Opponent FDR
25 Aston Villa (H) 3
26 Everton (A) 3
27 West Ham (A) 2
28 Sunderland (H) 2
29 Brentford (H) 3
30 Burnley (A) 2
31 Man Utd (H) 3
Note: 1 signifies the easiest possible fixture, while 5 indicates the hardest.
Senesi provides a compelling mix of potential defensive returns. At home, Bournemouth ranks impressively second in Expected Goals Against (xGA) with a figure of 9.18, suggesting further clean sheets are likely at the Vitality Stadium. However, their performance away from home tells a different story, placing them near the bottom for the same statistic. That said, Senesi has consistently managed to earn defensive contribution points during away matches, collecting them in every one of his 12 away starts this season, amassing 24 points—which equals six clean sheets. Additionally, he ranks second among all defenders for Expected Goal Involvement (xGI) this season, with a total of 4.67.
Mateus Mane (Wolves) - £4.6m
Wolverhampton Wanderers is also set to play twice in Gameweek 26. However, Fantasy managers may hesitate to invest in players from the team currently sitting at the bottom of the table, especially with one of their double-header matches pitted against league leaders Arsenal. Nevertheless, Mane presents a budget-friendly, short-term option for those looking to include a Wolves player in their squad.
Managers who prefer formations like 3-5-2 or 4-4-2 can comfortably keep Mane on the bench from Gameweek 27 onwards if necessary. His low price allows for flexibility in reallocating funds elsewhere in the team. Mane has been a regular starter, featuring in the last seven matches, and has taken the most shots (20) among his teammates during this stretch. However, it's noteworthy that about 80% of these attempts were from outside the box, meaning they were not high-quality scoring chances. Still, he has found the net twice from distance, showcasing his ability to shoot accurately from afar. Furthermore, he leads the team with two big chances created since Gameweek 18. Fantasy managers might even consider playing him this weekend, as Chelsea, their upcoming opponents, have managed just one clean sheet in their last eight league games and rank 17th in terms of xGA during that timeframe.
