Get ready for a thrilling adventure with Beast of Reincarnation, a highly anticipated game that's set to revolutionize the action/RPG genre! But here's the twist: it's not your typical fantasy setting. Beast of Reincarnation takes us to a future Japan, a post-apocalyptic world where nature has reclaimed its space, and a mysterious force called the 'blight' has corrupted most of the planet.
You step into the shoes of Emma, a young woman with a unique ability. She can seal the blight within herself, a gift that grants her the power to purify corrupted creatures. However, this very gift also makes her an outcast in society. Enter Koo, a wolf-like creature also plagued by the blight, and together, they embark on an epic journey to defeat the legendary Beast of Reincarnation, the source of the blight plague.
The gameplay is an exhilarating blend of action and RPG elements. You control Emma, wielding a katana for close-quarters combat or a bow and arrow for long-range attacks against corrupted enemies known as Malefacts and the formidable boss monsters, the Nushi. But Emma isn't alone; she's joined by Koo, a Malefact with special abilities. When Koo activates these abilities, time slows down, and the game transforms into a turn-based RPG mode, giving players a strategic edge to choose their next move.
The trailer reveals more exciting features, including skill trees for both Emma and Koo, a faction of mechanical golems with human souls, and three supporting characters: Brad, Kagura, and Kunai. Emma's traversal abilities are also showcased, where she seemingly transforms her hair into vines, allowing her to navigate vast distances with ease.
Beast of Reincarnation is scheduled for a summer release this year on Xbox, PC, and PlayStation, and it will be available on Game Pass from day one.
And this is the part most people miss: the game's unique setting and narrative could spark some interesting debates. What are your thoughts on post-apocalyptic stories?
